Hi Jeremy
Yes this is your long lost cousin. Dad was telling me that you started a blog, so I thought that I'd check it out.
Hope the European tourists in Thailand are treating you better, or least making an effort to learn how to ride a bike.
Drop me a line sometime. Hopefully we can catch up next time I'm in Sydney, or you're in Melb.
Take Care
Andrew

WOW!! World travels!!! It was fantastic to here you had set off to explore the depths the pint glasses in Ireland...I mean...the depths of the underwater and other wonderfully mysterious corners of the WORLD!!
Back from Japan myself - although it's a scary thought that I have been gone a year and back a year already! But itching for more ofcourse. Speaking of-courses I am in my FINAL semester!!!!! :oD Can you believe it!?!?!? Crazy to think of first year and know that nearly 6 years have passed since then :oO
Will work next year as a site engineer for Bovis Lend Lease which shall be great and see where it might lead. Oversea would be nice! But will just have to wait and see.
This is just a quick note, was thinking of you on your travels, knowing you would be having the greatest time posssible, learning and seeing so much and just wanted to wish them safe and happy travels too!
Drop a line if you get the chance anytime and I look forward to hearing more of your news and views!
Cheers Jem
Em ;oD
Miss you J. When are you coming back to Sydney?

P.S. thanks for the note on our site!
ausmoon.com comes up top in google in a search for ausmoon. No surprise there I guess. All of the other references are for flowers ie daisyfair.com, rogers-roses.net maybe they sell pansies perhaps?? Aaaaargh Ahoy.

Posted by: Shane and Barry at June 13, 2004 09:25 PMWhat a great idea! Once I get settled somewhere I will seriously condsider setting something like this up for myself and those who want to view! Remember, I will be patiently waiting for pictures from the Emerald Isle of my favourite pass time - drinking pints of the black stuff
I've finally left my little paradise Island to start my journey proper. It was a difficult decision, but it had to be done. The island was very quiet and the weather was very mixed, so I left on 6 May. I was planning to spend only a few days there, but I ended up staying 10 days. The people running the hostel didn't want me to leave and offered me work - 6 hours for a free bed (= just under 4 pounds) - I don't think so!
I am now in a place called Campeche, which is on the opposite coast (Gulf of Mexico). The bus ride was long and boring, taking 7 hours. There was no hostels listed in my guide book, so I checked into a hotel, which was very expensive (for me that is!) for what you got. I went for a wonder round and found the Monkey Hostel for less than half the price of what I had just paid! I tried to check out of the hotel, but I couldn't get a refund - official papers had been typed and filed!!! So I checked into the hostel the next day. It's only 3.50 per night, inc breakfast, a towel and decent sheets for the bed! They have a big kitchen too, which I've made full use of, in order to save money / stick to my budget.
The hostel is located right on the main sqaure, opposite the main cathedral. I've never stayed on a main square before, because it always more expensive. Campeche is a beautiful colonial city that has been protected by UNECO (world heritage organisation). It's clean, quiet and safe. Last night the main square was blocked off from traffic and a big fiesta took place: food, drinks, stalls, entertainment - dance groups, a singer, a clown and a band. The same thing will happen tonight also. This fiesta takes place every weekend, weather permitting.
I was going to visit Edzna, a mayan archelogical site, today (free on Sunday's), but I set my alarm for 8 PM instead of 8 AM and woke up just before 10 AM! My bus was at 10 AM!! Fool that I am. Oh well, I'll just have to go there tomorrow.
The weather is mixed here too. It was rainning when I arrived. The next day was sunshine in the morning, but rainned heavily twice in the afternoon, once with a thunder and lightening storm. Yesterday was pure sunshine. Today is sunny, but with clouds. There's mosquitoes at night that eat you in your sleep - little gits!!!
The hostel is really quiet, only about 7 guest staying here at the moment. I could do with some interesting company, but I don't think I'm going to get it here. I have been practicing my spanish though with Alfredo, one of the receptionists, but I do need to take some lessons to get me back to the level I was at when I studied for my GCSE in England (and I got an A - surprisingly) - but I've forgotton alot since (I've not used it for a year though).
OK folks, that's all for now. I'm going to get myself organised for the day and go for a wander and feed myself. I'm looking forward to tonight's entertainment. I'll be in touch soooon with more news. Write to me when you can with your news. Until then, take care and be happy in all that you do.
Love SUZ
Hope you are having the time of your life.
